Retreat Guidelines

  • You can expect daily movement (walking, stretching, yoga etc) and meditation sessions, group discussions, waking up early, one-on-one meetings with the instructor, practical tools to support you in and out of the retreat, time to be with yourself, reflections, observations, writing etc.

  • We strive to provide healthy and fresh vegan meals for the retreat.

Please let us know as soon as you sign up for our retreat if you have any special needs; food allergies or other allergies, or any other special needs or conditions, dietary or medical.

  • Our retreat will include a healthy balance between group activities, one-on-one meetings, and solo free time to rest and simply be.

  • Take time for yourself, and take advantage of everything the retreat center has to offer.

  • It's important that you allow yourself time and space to go inward and explore your mind.

  • There must be a sincere commitment to self-growth and dedication to practice, openness and readiness to investigate oneself and to create change and transformation.

  • Do not use any intoxicants like alcohol and drugs during the retreat period.

  • Smoking cigarettes is not permitted while doing the retreat.

  • Please do not bring meat or animal products to be consumed on the premises.

  • Internet access won't be available during the time of the retreat. Please be aware that no electronic devices of any kind may be used during the retreat, in order to support you to focus on yourself. You will be able to communicate with your relatives on arrival and provide them our phone number for any emergency.

  • If you decide to shorten your stay for any reason, you will not be given a refund for your remaining days.

  • This is a flexible and unstructured retreat.

It is a retreat that adapts itself to the person's abilities.

The conversation topics are not schematically structured, in any particular order or length.

The subjects will be adapted to the group and individual dynamics, to the questions asked, to the individual process, to the person's ability to delve deeper into the subject together with the instructor and the rest of the group.

  • It is useful to prepare in advance some questions (in any topic that relates to your life) that you seek clarification or support with.

  • This is a challenging retreat in which a person learns to contain the pain and the challenge of dealing with oneself and life.

All sorts of things are going to float in the retreat - feelings, thoughts, sensations.

  • If a person is not willing to be vulnerable, open up, expose residues from the past, express one’s thoughts and feelings, then one will not produce the maximum benefit of the retreat.

Ask yourself if you are ready and open to that.

  • It is necessary for you to be aware of the reason you come to this retreat-
coming here to listen and be open, to try and experiment for yourself, to follow the instructions 100 percent, to cope and be challenged.

That will be the right mindset to start the retreat with.

It is a place for people who really want to work on themselves, be challenged, learn themselves, and be able to contain the silence, by sitting with themselves.

Seasonal information

Of great appeal is the weather, which gets downright chilly at night in the colder months of the dry season (November to May), and offers a refreshing change from the heat and humidity of Cambodia’s flat lowlands.

From December to February, a warm jumper is essential here for the evenings.

Sen Monorom is well known for its very pleasant climate all year round.
This city has a tropical climate, it rains in summer (June-October), and is sunny and dry in winter (November-May).

How to get here (flights, airport transfers, buses, trains)

You can choose to fly into Phnom Penh International Airport (PNH) or Siem Reap International Airport (REP) in Cambodia.

You can get to the retreat center by van from Phnom Penh and Siem Reap.
